About Solar Victoria Grant

The Victorian Government is helping households to reduce their energy costs with the ‘Solar Homes Package’.
​Eligible households can claim a 50% rebate on the cost of their new solar system, up to a maximum of $1,400 being for a 4kW system or larger.

Do you meet the criteria?
You will be eligible for the rebate if the following applies to you.
  • Your household’s taxable income is less than $180,000.
  • You are an owner-occupier of a home valued under $3 million.
  • Do not already have solar installed on your property.
  • You have chosen Clean Energy Council (CEC) Approved products and use a CEC Accredited Installer
  • You have chosen an installer who can provide a statement that they have had no significant contravention history, or prosecutions registered with WorkSafe Victoria in the past three years

Applications for solar PV rebates are open with an additional offering of no-interest loans to complement the rebate, as well as solar for renters and solar battery rebates.

The Solar Power Traralgon trading name has not been registered as an Approved Solar Retailer/NETCC Approved Seller so if you are eligible for the grant then your grant application will be through Champion Energy trading name being a compliant installer for the rebate.
